Privacy

This is not a box-ticking page.

BeNice holds a map of your personal relationships — who matters to you, how close you are, what you sent them. That is a more sensitive category of data than it first appears, and it is the single biggest reputational risk this product carries. So here is what we do about it, in plain language.

We do not sell contact data

Your contacts are not sold, rented, shared with data brokers, or used to build advertising profiles — ours or anyone else's. There is no version of this business where that changes.

Processed in the EU

Data is stored and processed within the European Union. GDPR was a design input from the first line of code, not a compliance exercise added before launch.

Export and deletion in one click

You can export everything we hold about you in a machine-readable format, and delete your account and all associated data, from within the app. No support ticket, no retention dark pattern.

We ask for as little as possible

Contact import is optional and granular — you can use the calendar without importing anything. We store the fields we need for the feature you are using, and nothing speculative.

How message generation works

Generating a message sends the minimum necessary context — the occasion, the relationship type and the tone you picked. Your contact list is not used to train models.

For companies

Standard DPA, defined sub-processors, and administrator control over what is stored about each employee. Employees can see what is held about them.
